On Wednesday, 16 January 2013, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street near No. 148B, an Audi 80 Avant hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Audi (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
