On Friday, 18 January 2013, in the evening at 21:10, in Šilalės district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Kvėdarnos street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Sunny, a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Tundra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.66‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
