On Sunday, 20 January 2013, in the afternoon at 15:35, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Širvintos–Bagaslaviškis–Kaliakiemiai regional road (kilometre 1.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Audi (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed.
