On Thursday, 24 January 2013, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on R. Kalantos street near No. 19, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania R 143 EL and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Scania (29 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
