On Sunday, 3 February 2013, in the morning at around 5:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 104), a DAF FT XF 105.460T registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
