On Thursday, 31 January 2013, in the evening at 20:40, in Zarasų district municipality, on S. Nėries street, an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 14-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
