On Monday, 4 February 2013, in the afternoon at 14:01, in Vilnius, on Antakalnio street, at the junction with L. Sapiegos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 Avant and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Audi (28 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
