On Saturday, 9 February 2013, at night at around 1:00, in Kaunas, on Tunelio street near No. 6, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Toyota (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.01‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
