On Tuesday, 12 February 2013, in the evening at 18:41, in Raseinių district municipality, Sujainių village, on the Ariogala–Raseiniai–Kryžkalnis national road (kilometre 48.82), an Opel Sintra hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 65-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by a 65-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest) and was walking on the carriageway where prohibited. She was drunk (1.91‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
