On Sunday, 24 February 2013, in the afternoon at 12:21, in Plungės district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 100.14), a Land Rover Freelander hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Land Rover (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
