On Monday, 25 February 2013, in the morning at 8:35, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105 and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the DAF (2 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
