On Tuesday, 26 February 2013, in the evening at 18:18, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Ramygala–Krekenava regional road (kilometre 1.64), a Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
