On Friday, 15 March 2013, in the evening at 20:55, in Šakių district municipality, Kidulių village, on the Pilviškiai–Šakiai–Jurbarkas national road (kilometre 56.02), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Ford Probe and an Audi A6 Avant. Three people were injured — the 31-year-old driver of the Ford (hospitalized), the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient) and a 35-year-old passenger of the Ford (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Ford (14 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
