On Monday, 1 April 2013, in the afternoon at 11:10, in Panevėžys, on Pušaloto street, at the junction with raginėnų street, a Renault Espace hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Renault (33 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
