On Tuesday, 2 April 2013, at night at 0:10, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 304.80), an Opel Signum ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel (a citizen of Sri Lanka) (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
