On Monday, 1 April 2013, at night at 23:30, in Kaunas, on M. Riomerio street near No. 1A, a Ford Galaxy hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Ford (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
