On Friday, 12 April 2013, in the morning at 8:21, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Pasvaliečiai–Saločiai regional road (kilometre 6.99), an Opel Astra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.49‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
