On Sunday, 21 April 2013, in the morning at 10:39, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 135), an Iveco Stralis AS 440S48 registered in Belarus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Iveco (a citizen of Belarus) (25 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
