On Sunday, 21 April 2013, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 134.50), an Opel Vectra-B-Caravan registered in Bulgaria hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Opel (a citizen of Romania) (6 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
