On Friday, 19 April 2013, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr., a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai Sonata and a Yamaha YZF-R1. One person was injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Yamaha (severely injured, hospitalized, had no driving licence). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Hyundai (27 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.23‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
