On Saturday, 20 April 2013, in the afternoon at 13:18, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Druskininkai–Leipalingis–Seirijai national road (kilometre 4), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a VWL - and an Infiniti FX 35. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the VWL (a citizen of Poland) (37 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
