On Thursday, 25 April 2013, at night at 3:03, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 43), a Volvo FH12 registered in Russia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Belarus) (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
