On Friday, 26 April 2013, at night at 1:30, in Vilnius, on Žaliųjų Ežerų street, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
