On Sunday, 28 April 2013, in the afternoon at 14:33, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 50.35), a Scania R500 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Scania (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
