On Monday, 29 April 2013, in the evening at around 17:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 205), a Volvo FH12 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volvo (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
