On Tuesday, 30 April 2013, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Marijampolės municipality, on Sasnavos street near No. 58, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Volvo FM12 registered in Kazakhstan hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volvo (a citizen of Kazakhstan) (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
