On Sunday, 5 May 2013, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kaunas, on Panerių street, at the junction with Radvilų Dvaro street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a Renault Kangoo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
