On Saturday, 27 April 2013, in the evening at 22:33, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilijampolė–Žeimiai–Šėta national road (kilometre 12), a Mercedes-Benz E250 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
