On Saturday, 4 May 2013, in the afternoon at 12:50, in Kaunas, on Marvelės street near No. 68A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha FZS 600 and a Toyota Corolla Verso. Three people were injured — the 30-year-old driver of the Yamaha (severely injured, hospitalized), a 19-year-old passenger of the Yamaha (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 35-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Yamaha (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
