On Saturday, 11 May 2013, in the evening at 21:10, in Alytaus district municipality, on Krantinės street near No. 11, an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Audi (16 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
