On Monday, 13 May 2013, in the afternoon at 15:45, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 7.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant, an Iveco 50C13 and a Kaeser M 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.31‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
