On Wednesday, 22 May 2013, in the evening at 17:53, in Šiaulių district municipality, Vijolių village, on Gintaro street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Mazda, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
