On Saturday, 25 May 2013, in the evening at 18:20, in Neringos municipality, on Purvynės street, a BMW 525 D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.69‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
