On Sunday, 26 May 2013, in the evening at 21:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 50.20), a Peugeot 306 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
