Unlicensed Ford driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at a crossing at Savanorių and Savanorių streets, Kretinga
On Tuesday, 18 June 2013, in the evening at 19:20, in Kretingos district municipality, on Savanorių street, at the junction with Savanorių street, a Ford Probe hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 47-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
