On Thursday, 13 June 2013, in the morning at around 10:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Nepriklausomybės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a moped. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules and failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. The 56-year-old driver of a moped had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
