On Saturday, 6 July 2013, in the morning at 5:40, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 43), an Opel Sintra hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Opel (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
