On Sunday, 7 July 2013, in the evening at 19:35, in Šilalės district municipality, Dargalių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 232), an Opel Astra registered in Netherlands rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Opel (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
