On Monday, 8 July 2013, in the evening at around 20:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Šturmų village, a Citroen Xantia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Citroen, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
