On Sunday, 14 July 2013, in the evening at around 19:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Čekonys–Debeikiai–Žalioji regional road (kilometre 6.12), a Kawasaki ZX-6R registered in Germany rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Kawasaki, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
