On Sunday, 14 July 2013, in the evening at around 22:00, in Panevėžys, on Molainių street near No. 24, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen Xantia registered in Belarus and a Nissan Patrol. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Citroen (11 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 10 km/h.
