On Sunday, 14 July 2013, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Dirvonėnų village, on Nelindos street, a Renault Megane hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 39-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Renault (21 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
