On Thursday, 4 July 2013, in the afternoon at 13:10, in Telšių district municipality, on Turgaus a. near No. 24, at the junction with Sinagogos street, an Opel Sintra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Opel (37 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
