On Thursday, 18 July 2013, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Klaipėda, on Liepų street, at the junction with Trilapio street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved an Opel Omega and a Mercedes-Benz GLK 220. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to obey traffic-control signals. He was drunk (3.33‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
