Hit-and-run, unlicensed driver runs off the road on the Skuodas–Plungė road
On Friday, 19 July 2013, in the evening at around 18:00, in Plungės district municipality, on the Skuodas–Plungė national road (kilometre 39.84), a Citroen Xantia ran off the road. One person was injured — the 37-year-old driver of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
