On Friday, 19 July 2013, in the evening at 19:30, in Akmenės district municipality, on the Kuršėnai–Mažeikiai national road (kilometre 17.35), a Citroen C5 ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 61-year-old driver of the Citroen (hospitalized) and a 54-year-old passenger of the Citroen (hospitalized).
