On Monday, 29 July 2013, at night at 0:44, in Šiaulių district municipality, Žeimių village, on the Šiauliai–Pakruojis–Pasvalys national road (kilometre 5.17), a Mitsubishi Colt hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
