On Thursday, 22 August 2013, at night at 1:30, in Klaipėda, on Naujoji Uosto street, at the junction with Naujojo Sodo street, an Opel Astra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
