On Tuesday, 27 August 2013, in the evening at 18:18, in Panevėžio district municipality, Šilagalio village, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 130), a Renault Premium 450.18 registered in Bulgaria ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Renault (a citizen of Bulgaria) (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
