On Saturday, 31 August 2013, at night at 3:49, in Klaipėda, on Liepojos street, at the junction with Kretingos street, an Opel Combo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.09‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
